Late Sh. Prohlad Karmakar (Maternal Grand Father) Former Principal of Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, India. In 1939, he won the bronze Plaque in the San Francisco International Exhibition. In his lifetime he received commissions to paint portraits of British administrators, nabobs and maharajas, while collectors bought his creative paintings.
