Merchandise Analysis
• Analyzing weekly and monthly sales,
stock and on-order with the goal of optimizing sales and
minimizing markdowns. • With Category Manager recognizing
and reacting quickly to all trends, both major and minor, in the

Merchandise Planning • Working on Merchandise plans to
ensure that sales and margin are optimized by

too late nor too soon) and that receipts flow correctly
throughout the intended period. Product
Development • Working with Vendors to manage product
development. Vendor Relations & Sourcing • Ensuring that
vendor relations are optimal i.e., getting the best possible
prices, quality and service levels. • Maintaining
appropriate vendor matrix with medium and long term
perspective. Communication • Ensuring cooperation with
cross-functional teams (advertising, visual merchandising, store
operations etc.) to maximize through-put. • Participating
in training programs to train Store Managers and CSA’s in
various merchandising aspects.
