1) Resolving Level 1 and 2 issues, forwarded by the IT Service
desk, related to desktop / server / LAN / OS & applications where
training has been provided. 2) Provide first level support for
pplication issues on the desktop, co-ordinate with the
application support teams for permanent fix. 3) Make escalations
to appropriate Customer IT teams or vendors whenever
required. 4) Register and update the anti-virus software as per
the policy and procedure of the firm. 5) Diagnose and
troubleshoot any virus problems that can be fixed by the
anti-virus tool. 6) Install updates and patches. 7) Provide
feedback on new viruses detected. 8) Test packages before global
rollout. 9) Troubleshoot performance issues experienced by users
due to hardware, software, network latency etc. 10) Manage user,
computer and group objects in Active Directory. 11) Manage DFS
links for India region. 12) Manage user and group objects using
Citrix. 13) Develop system administration tools to increase
productivity and efficiency. 14) Work on projects assigned by
the team lead from time to time. 15) Liaise with global teams
for global projects. 16) Taking Daily Weekly/Monthly full
backups on backup tapes from the back up library. 17) Managing
Altiris Server at Hutchinson 3 Global Services. 18) Managing the
DHCP and DNS Servers. 19) Configured RAID5 for different
servers. 20) Managing Exchange Server 2003. 21) Act as back-up
for the service desk.
