Couple of years from now

I want to work for my self in next 5 years, I want to learn as much as possible in next 4 years to know about how to be financially independent may it be knowing few new technologies or knowing how to get projects etc...

Qualities needed to become a successful leader

1) You should have a vision and a mission looking at the current market scenario.
2) Be innovative and draw a plan to reach the short term and long term goals to meet the objectives of the mission.
3) Be proactive and inspire and achieve excellene. Do the best what ever you do...to set examples in terms of quality..may it be writing email or addressing a group od people.
4) Do the right thing...for which people will look up to you as a role model.
5) Be there for your people to support in adversity...take ownership and lead whenever required instead of blaming others.

6) Be honest and always do the right thing.

1) I believe in hard work and honesty.

Important lesson learned

Yes, don't hurry and have patience in life...the hardest things in life has a solution with time. If you do not find a way out try hard all your options and you will get out of it sooner or later..don't give up. Fortune favours the brave.

My family background

I am born and brought up from a rural area in orissa..My family contains my parents and grand mother + 4 child (3 son and a daughter). My parents were govt. servants and my parens aim was to complete our education and the focus was not in any other thing...but good food and education. With time we all grew up together and I came out of orrissa after 12th. Gradually we knew where the world is heading and joined the herd of IT and are now away from my home town...where my parents spent all their lifes income making home for us and now it is rented. Though we did not want to rent it but if locked the maintenance is a problem looking at the incessant rain that we get in our area in Orissa.

Ensuring success

I make sure I invest in the right area to make my money working for me. Every year I am planning to do a certification and learn new tool or technology to be in the race. Simultaneusly I am planning to visit a new place every year with my family and speand quality time with my kid. Also I am looking out for some job in middle east to get financial freedom.

My role model

I have not met or read about any one who can be my role model. Whom I wanted to follow later I found they are fake and they do not carry the principles and values with them as they change with situation. Now a days all leaders are like that only. Me,My position and My money. We do not have living leaders/legends who has their principles intact like Sardar Ballabh bhai Patel, or Lal Bahadur Sashtri...they lived their life for their values and principles.

Brief description about me

At present I am playing a role of project manager, who contribute towards project management, people management along with technical solutioning. My skills are on BFSI domain into Retail banking in production support maintenance and new enhancements. I am managing entire EMEA for production support and maintenance. I am having end to end project management and support experience and expertise for any BFSI business.
I am married with my wife working at IBM. I have a 4 year old daughter and my parents and my grand mother leave with me as they are old enough to stay alone at my home town. I have arranged a 24X7 maid for them from my home town, thay are a great support for me as me and my wife both can concentrate on our job with out worrying about my daughter.

Thoughts on Education system of our country

We have a very poor system in India although we have very bright and hard working students in India. In one board the marcking systems are different and different methodology to give the marks. There should be one grading system all across India and this way we will not loose good talent who can contribute in the global market or research. I know people who are poor but extremely intelligent but they had to go to tutuions and do teachership to support their big families who could have been good scientists and researchers for India. I do not say teachership is wrong but their talent could have been used in other research work.

Initiative to develop a country

We have to sacrifice and go to rural India to let the people know what calue their vote carries and bring in good people to parliament who can bring good policy and bring down corruption and assurance of better lifestyle and safety. As we carry out projects in a planned way a mission should be started and shared across the IT people who can serve few weeks of community service to bring about the change to meet the goals to become a developed nation. Let's start a project and deliver it with the best quality. I hope we can spend few weeks for the future of our children.
