Bangalore: Samir Chopra, President-Elect, of Indian Americans of New York, Co-hosted a public reception in lower Manhattan in honor of Judge  Bkamins. Judge Bkamins currently serves as the Chief Administrative Judge for the NYC Criminal Courts and also as acting administrative judge for civil matters for the Second Judicial District. Samir Chopra said “He is a noted author, and has served the community and the courts for decades he is a true public servant, who cares for the wellbeing of all citizens in the State of New York. He is caring, compassionate and a man of impeccable character.”

Samir Chopra has been honored by the United States Senate, United States Congress, New York State Governor & Attorney General as an outstanding individual who has served the people of New York with honor & distinction. He is a past recipient of the Walter E Upjohn Award, and has served on the Board of the South Asian Bar Association of  New York and the Hindu Center in Flushing Queens. He has completed his education at Emory University and Harvard .  He has completed several Marathons and Triathalons and has been interviewed on CNBC, FOX News and CNN Headline News. He is a founder of the first Indian  Fraternity in North America and has served on the Election Committee of 18 Supreme Court, District Court Justices and Members of Congress.
