Raghavendra’s project intends to develop a chemical reaction that converts alcoholic substrates into their corresponding alkanes. This will make it possible the re-conversion of partially oxidized fuel (alcohols) into usable fuel. "This way, fuel can be used multiple times and energy can be obtained from it," Google said. The conversion catalyzed by sunlight is totally eco-friendly.
