Bangalore: Seema Biswas, prominent actress who have showcased brilliant performance in movies such as ‘Bandit Queen’ and ‘Water’ views Indian-American director Prashant Bhargava’s award winning first feature film ‘Patang’ as an extraordinary movie.

"It’s not a conventional kind of film," she said about the film. "It’s totally different, totally unique and totally unconventional in its treatment, whether it’s handling of the camera or handling the actors."

"No one can make out that one is acting. Everyone is in character all the time performing in a naturalistic way," Biswas told IANS in an interview about her character in the movie.

The movie is a poetic journey into the heart of the old city of Ahmedabad."For the first time a film showcases Ahmedabad to national audiences that shows not the riots but something positive," says the director Prashant Bhargava. Apart from being honoured with the Golden Orchid Award for Best Narrative Feature at the 2011 Hawaii International Film Festival, Patang has been selected for many prominent film festivals.

‘Patang’ is released today in theatres across New York City, New Jersey and Chicago in U.S and in India it will be released afterwards.
