Bangalore: Anoop Menon, a doctoral candidate in the Strategy unit at Harvard Business School has been honoured with the prestigious Wyss Award, for Excellence in Doctoral Research.

Three Wyss Awards for Excellence in Doctoral Research and two Martin Awards for Excellence in Business Economics were presented to five doctoral candidates by the Harvard Business School Doctoral Programs, under the direction of Kahners-Rabb Professor of Business Administration Kathleen L. McGinn.

Harvard Business School honours doctoral students with brilliant talents who are engaged in innovative dissertation research, every year.

Menon’s research focuses on exploring the role of cognition in strategy and strategic decision making. He tries to incorporate more realistic assumptions about cognition, decision making, and information processing into models of strategic interactions, in his work.

Menon, who hails from Thrissur district of Kerala, holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from Amherst College.

The Wyss Awards are named in honor of Hansjoerg Wyss, who established the Hansjoerg Wyss Endowment for Doctoral Education in the year 2004.
