Vivek Ranadive

Ranadive is a businessman, engineer, author, speaker, and philanthropist, who is the founder and CEO of TIBCO, one of the fastest-growing computing companies. Recently he created headlines by purchasing Sacramento Kings, a U.S. basketball team for a record USD 535 million. His passion for the game made him buy the team for such a whopping amount.

Ranadive earned a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT in just four years and later on he got enrolled in Harvard University for MBA course. He started his first venture, a UNIX consulting company when he was a student at MIT.

In the year 1997 Ranadive established TIBCO Software Inc. which received funding from Cisco and Reuters.

He serves on the Board of Directors of Nielsen Holdings N.V. and on the Supervisory Board of The Nielsen Company B.V.

Apart from being a successful businessman, Ranadive is also a writer and has authored three books.
