Nitin Nohria

Nitin Nohria is the dean of Harvard Business School (HBS), who previously served as co-chair of the Leadership Initiative, Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Development, and Head of the Organizational Behavior unit.

According to Nohria, "If you are allowed to pursue your own passion in whatever field you like, then you are likely to be successful. He also tells that, ‘’the most important lesson in life is generosity. If you are generous, life gives back more than what you have given.’’

His areas of interest include human motivation, leadership, corporate transformation and accountability, and sustainable economic and human performance. He is co-author or co-editor of 16 books and has also written more than 50 journal articles, book chapters, cases, working papers, and notes. 

Nohria holds a degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a Ph.D. in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
