2. Dharun Ravi
Ravi, a former Rutgers University student was convicted in the month of March for spying on his roommate Tyler Clementi, with a webcam, who was with another man. Tyler later committed suicide following the incident.
Earlier, it was estimated that Ravi will face up to ten years imprisonment and deportation to India, which was cut down to 30 days and further cut down to 20 days; five days credit for his good behavior and a similar number for working in prison. The charges on him include bias, intimidation, invasion of privacy and evidence tampering.
