Microsoft To Release Two Low End LTE Smartphones


BANGALORE: ‘Inspiration doesn’t only work from 9 to 5’! Is the tagline with which Microsoft has sent the invites to its guests to the launch of its new smartphones on April 7. Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 Xl will be the ones to be central attraction to the show, reports Tech2.

The mobiles were previously unveiled at MWC 2015, are to be the company’s low-end LTE smartphones. With price being low, it doesn’t go with some dull features as the models pack pretty good lens and pretty fast processors.

The 640 and 640 XL have a display of 5-inch and 5.7-inch HD. The 640 seconds in price as it has an 8 megapixel shooter at rear with LED flash and 1 megapixel at the front.

On the other hand 640 XL has a 13 megapixel camera at the rear with Zeiss optics and 5 megapixel shooter to cover the rear.

The processors being the same for both that clocks 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon, and so is the RAM that is coupled with 1GB to support the processor.

Coming to the battery charge the 640 has 2,500mAh and the 640 XL has 3000mAh that is enough to support your daily operations.

Both the devices will be running on Windows 8.1 and will also get the denim update. The Lumia devices get 8GB on the storage front which can be expandable to 128 GB and an additional 30 GB of free space on One Drive.

The devices will be on sale on Flipkart whether the models are to be made simultaneously in India or not is to be known on April 7. So wait for it to know the updates as to the mobiles marketing availability.
