Windows 8; Yet To Be Agile For Tablets


With dwindled quality and quantity of Windows app the weighing scale shows favorable output for the rival platforms including Android and iOS making Windows unrecommendable for tablet devices.

On the other hand the “desktop mode” of Windows 8 also failed to pack power, as it isn’t basically designed for touch inputs giving a tough time using with fingerers. Mounting an extra Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad will get the issue fixed, however cuts down the ease of portability and makes its usage more tedious. With the absence of these input devices Windows 8 on tablets lack punch and productivity.

On close examination of the products from other market players such as iPads and Android powered devices, we learn that they are uniquely designed for touch inputs. Trying to serve both touch and non-touch simultaneously is the main reason why Windows is being knocked out of the race. With Android and iOS stealing a march over Windows 8, it is high time that they rework on their engineering.
