Qualcomm's 64-Bit Processor To Get LTE For Cheaper Smart Devices


The new 64-bit processors have surpassed the regular 32-bit processors which are common among many mobile phones. The much hyped 64-bit in phones will allow users work faster on their device with great effectiveness.

With an advantage of having a greater memory, the 64-bit processor will demand a change of software which were initially designed especially for the functioning of 32-bit processors. On this Li comments, "It's a little bit chicken and the egg," and further adds, "We see this transition happening and we want to be there to help enable the ecosystem."

Qualcomm’s strong competitor Apple unveiled its first iPhone, enhanced with a 64-bit processor, which contemplated its iOS mobile platform to fuse with operating system which can be exercised on Mac laptops. Apple is planning to build its future Macs based on the same platform that will be used in Apple iPhones and iPads.

Interestingly, Intel Corp is already empowered with the 64-bit features for its mobile chips. Yet the construction of "x86" has been unsuccessful to attract the same on smart devices.
