“Things have changed in the last ten years. Good looks carry equal importance for an application as the functionality and flow. Applications developed for bigger screens like Desktop or Laptop are compatible with phones but are very tough to use because of the small screen size. The developer needs to get into the shoes of the end user. There are more than a dozen apps available in the market for a particular need of the user. In such circumstances only lucid features and better user experience make an application stand out among others. Hence good design is the only differentiator. A developer has to build a well designed app without losing out on performance,” says Bejoy Singhal.
