“iPhone 5C is beautifully, unapologetically plastic”, says Jony Ive, Apple’s Chief Designer. iPhone 5C is made of hard-coated polycarbonate and is coated with 5 five vibrant colors: blue, white, pink, yellow and green. Thus the “C” stands for “Colors”. The 5C series will be released at a mid-range price starting from $99 for 16 GB and $199 for 32 GB.

Even though the phone sports a plastic exterior, its interior structure is reinforced with steel casing to add rigidity. The phone has multi-band antenna for wireless carriers and has a 4-inch retina display with integrated touch display. The back is embedded with an 8MP iSight camera and the front has a Face Time HD camera with larger pixels for improved back side illumination. It sports a speedy processor with an A6 chip and has a battery with a higher capacity range than iPhone5. 5C also runs on iOS7 and supports LTE bands with download speed up to 100 Mbps.

In addition, the colorful range if 5Cs also come with a line of custom cases made of silicon rubber. These cases have circular cut outs that add a splash of colors for the device.
