Bangalore: Yahoo’s new CEO Marissa Meyer is all set to boost the ailing tech giant, along with boosting the employee morale. She had given them free perks, right after she took charge of the company, including free food inside the campus. But, the latest one will be most surprising: All the full time and part time employees of Yahoo will get brand new iPhones, Galaxy S3s or Nokia Lumia, on their choice! The fun doesn’t end there. Yahoo is also going to pay its phone bills!

Mayer has initiated the plan through a program called “Yahoo! Smart Phones, Smart Fun!” While the CEO opted out all phones from the BlackBerry makers Research In Motion (RIM), she included the flagships from the three major platforms- iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

According to Business Insider, “People are happy” inside Yahoo. The memo, which was released to employees, read: "We'd like our employees to have devices similar to our users, so we can think and work as the majority of our users do," which according to many analysts, is a smart step. Eventhough it will cost Yahoo a few millions of dollars, the benefit will be a well informed and motivated workforce.

We have a very exciting update to share with you today - we are announcing Yahoo! Smart Phones, Smart Fun!  As of today, Yahoo is moving off of blackberries as our corporate phones and on to Smartphones in 22 countries.  A few weeks ago, we said that we would look into Smartphone penetration rates globally and take those rates into account when deciding on corporate phones. Ideally, we'd like our employees to have devices similar to our users, so we can think and work as the majority of our users do.

Moving forward, we'll offer you a choice of devices as well as provide monthly plans for the data and phone. 

The smartphone choices that we are including in the program are:
