WhatsApp Adds Voice Messaging, Updates To Be Rolled Out Today

Bangalore: WhatsApp, the most popular messaging app in mobile platforms is rolling out a new update that will allow the users to record and send the voice message, without any restriction on the length of recording.

The updates to the push-to-talk voice messaging will be rolled out on all the platforms that include iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Symbian. Previously the app did provide the voice recording and sending facility on iOS, but the recording length was limited to 2 minutes and the users had to maneuver through number of steps before they could record and send the message. However with push to talk everything happens with a single tap on soft key. All the user got to do is, hold a microphone button, located next to the compose box, to record the message and release the button to send it. In case you are not sure about sending it, simple wipe the button to left and delete it.
