Samsung Hits Back: Galaxy S3 Kicks iPhone Out Of Throne

Bangalore: No wonder why Apple has filed a lawsuit for banning the sales of Samsung’s flagship, Galaxy S3. The device has already outrun iPhone 4S sales for the first time, ever since Apple launched it in October 2011.

Canaccord Genuity analyst T. Michael Walkley, released the report which was compiled after the response from retailers. "We believe this is the first month since the iPhone 4S launched in October 2011 that it was not the top-selling Smartphone in the U.S. market," says Walkley.

According to CNet, the drop in iPhone sales is likely due to the temporary break that customers take as they anticipate for iPhone’s new version, which is expected to hit the stores on September 12. Apple is likely to get back to the top spot with the release of new phone, which already has invited hyped predictions exceeding millions of sales in few months.

But for Samsung, the largest Smartphone vendor in the world, the news would be a relief, as it became the king of Smartphone sales in the same month it was ordered to pay Apple a sum of $1 billion for patent infringements.

So let’s wait a couple of months to see the sales chart after the iPhone’s release and decide who the clear winner is.
