Manufacturer Of iPhone Partners With Google


Bangalore: Search giant Google, reportedly partnered with Taiwanese based electronics manufacturer Foxconn, for the project Google Glass. The production and assemble of this wearable intelligent device will be situated at one of Foxconn’s facility in Santa Clara, California.

Manufacturing in U.S., would enable Google’s engineers to have a close watch on the Glass Project. As it is not far from Google’s headquarters, this would create opportunities for the supervisors for last-minute fixes and any changes.

However, as per reports, the production is set to be on a slower side, rolling out few thousand Google Glass in the initial weeks. It is not clear how many people the facility will employ.

Foxconn normally produces majority of its gadgets at its plants in China. In response to growing customer demands, it is considering to expand its operations in U.S. The Company also churns out products by Apple, such as iPod, iPad and iPhone. It is also associated with manufacturing Sony Playstation 3, Amazon Kindle, and Nintendo's Wii U. The Taiwanese manufacturer has a number of Plants in various countries which include U.S. and China.

The Google Glass launch date for the public is not been announced. However, it is expected to hit the market in another 2 months.
