India's Own Silicon Valley Shaping The World's IT And Innovation Future


Bangalore: Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India has become the world’s second largest IT and ITeS provider, right behind its counterparts located in U.S. A report of KIG 2020, a study conducted by Karnataka ICT group says that by 2020 Bangalore would become the world’s largest collection of talent in a single location. The region is expected to have 20 lakh IT professionals, about 60 lakh indirect employment and exports worth Rs 4 lakh crore beating other IT cities in India by 2020, reports TOI.

Out of the Fortune 500 companies, Nasscom estimates to have the direct presence of 105 in India under IT, ITes and BT sector.  With vast pool of untapped potential, it is high time for India to take a wise decision about moving up the scales in the respective sectors. IT has become an integral part of the life with more than 8 million servers, 100 million tablets sold every year, 50 million vehicles with in-car networks, more than a billion users connected to social networks and the even decreasing cost of electronic goods.
