Google Is Transmuting To Be The Worst Nightmare For Apple And Microsoft

Bangalore: Nightmares are the stuff of dreams that can haunt you even when you are awake and shake your reality. Apparently it is happening with the tech giants. The sound of Google’s footstep following is sending shivers of paranoia down the spines of Apple and Microsoft, just by the thought “what if Google is after my place?”

Google is evidently leading the arena with attractive applications for the android and it has made prolific development by delivering apps that rival and prove superior to Apple’s apps for its own iPhone. Round one has already been given to Google when Apple made a fiasco with its ‘Maps’, which forced the iPhone users to switch to Google maps. Google’s map application for iPhone was downloaded more than 10 million times in the 48 hours after its release in December, Jeff Huber, a Google senior vice president, said in an online post at the time.

Yes, it must have been only the stuff of dreams for the Google and a nightmare for Timothy Cook, CEO of Apple Inc. But Google’s mirth only begins here. According to a recent report, iPhone users use more apps made by Google than the ones inbuilt by its manufacturer. A YouTube app, an iPhone version of its Chrome Web browser, better software for gaining access to its Gmail service and most interestingly, two dozen iPhone apps from Google are available on Apple's App Store, with variations for the iPad. One may as well just ask Timmy, “What the hell are you thinking?” and to the amusement of the questioner he may as well answer, “Do I really have a choice?”
