CES 2014 Makes History

Bangalore:  Consumer Electronics Show, the internationally acclaimed show that displays the latest innovations from manufacturers across the globe, has made a hit this year by becoming the largest show in its history. The event covered 3,300 presentations of exhibitors that comprised a record of two million square feet of exhibit space.

The Consumer Electronics Association claims that, the show, even though held at the middle of a dessert is being called ’International’, as 35,000 attendees among the total of 150,000 are from outside U.S. “One-third of the world’s population interacted with CES in some way this week, as we experienced the future,” said Gary Shapiro, president of the CEA. “From curved and flexible Ultra HD TVs and next-generation Smartphones to drones, robots, sensors, the Internet of Everything, Hi-Res audio, connected cars and 3D printers, it seems like the only thing missing from the 2014 CES was a time-travel machine,” Shapiro added.

On contrary to this success side of CES, rumor mills are buzzing that many of the products like those in wearable technologies and curved TVs will fail.
