Blink, 'Vanishing Message App' Is Now A Part Of Yahoo!

BANGALORE: Yahoo, the American multinational internet company, bought a messaging app ‘Blink’ that self deletes itself after the receiver of the message views it.

According to the Blink website, the company will soon be a part of Yahoo, and no word on the financial terms of the deal is out yet. The app is also said to close down for the mobile devices running on Apple or Android operating systems and there is no comment on what the company is looking forward to do with Blink.

"Look forward to the possibilities that will come from bringing the Blink vision to Yahoo.”

"We built Blink because we believe everyone should be free to show the same honesty and spontaneity in their online conversations as they can in person," Blink said on their website.

Yahoo is looking forward to generate more advertising revenues and give more content on the mobile platform as the usage of the mobile phones and tablets is growing day by day. The company has bought close to 40 start-ups to completely revamp its internet unit.

A startup company, ‘Meh labs’ creates the application Blink. Founded by former Google employees Kevin Stephens and Michelle Norgon, the seven-member team with its founders will work on the Smart communication products by Yahoo.
