Apple Is Reportedly Testing Next iPhone That Runs iOS 7

Bangalore: 2013 has barely begun and it’s hardly been three months since Apple released its iPhone 5. But, sources say that the tech giant is already prepping the next iteration of its successful product. According to Matt Brian of The Next Web, Apple is testing the hardware of iPhone 6 powered by iOS 7 which is expected to be released by the middle of this year.

Currently, iPhone 5 running on iOS6 has its identifiers as iPhone 5.1 and iPhone 5.2, depending on the LTE model and 4G band on which it operates. According to the developer logs inspected by TNW, some new requests for the apps originated from an IP address on Apple’s Cupertino campus reliably claims that the company seems to be testing the new hardware for iPhone powered by a new version of its operating system, probably iOS 7. However, no specs on hardware or software were shared in the developer logs.

With Apple having a commendable history of technology, iOS 7 is the next phase after shortcomings faced by iOS 6 including the Apple mapping service. As new developments are seen time and again, it is learnt that the company is consistent with exciting new designs and the prospect of the latest running device for Apple fans expected this year.
