Amazon Appstore For Android To Debut In India Soon


Bangalore: Amazon, the online shopping giant, announced that it would expand its Android Appstore to over 200 countries. The Appstore is soon to debut in India as well, reports Firstpost.

Amazon has opened up for developers to submit their apps from the countries like Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, India, South Africa, South Korea, and even Papua New Guinea and Vatican City. The selected apps will be featured on Appstore when it is made available in 200 countries; and Amazon has recently taken its Appstore to U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan.

Amazon’s Kindle line of tablets run on a heavily altered version of Google’s Android and the devices doesn’t have access to the official Google Play Store but instead rely on its own Appstore.
