10. The Matrix

The Matrix was an absolutely compelling and innovative action science fiction film. It had some great special effects that blew the minds of the audience and had a plot that was very complex. In the midst of philosophical points, a couple of twists, the importance of action weren’t ignored. Just about every scene became an instant cultural highlight, and many of them are referenced even today.

9. WALL-E

WALL-E is the story of a lonely, forgotten robot that is left to clean up the mess after humans abandon the Earth. One of Pixar’s best films, it is almost completely free from dialogue in the first third of the film. Some criticized the story being a morality play. But it actually is thought-provoking. The movie shows how technology can make things easier and also make living less of an experience. Tech geeks love this cool film which has everything from the technology of the past to the Macintosh start-up sound.
