The invention uses an ultrasound transmitter and a converter adapter to convert and store ultrasound into electricity that can charge your electrical gadgets wirelessly. Meredith Perry is the inventor of this technology which is already patented and is the founder and CEO of Ubeam. She was identified as one of the 30 under 30 by Forbes and has also been a student ambassador with NASA.

Some of the big names in tech Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer have decided to invest in the company. Other investors in uBeam include FF Angel, Andreessen Horowitz, Tony Hsieh, CrunchFund, and Ellen Levy.
