#2 Google Wave

Life Span: May 2009 – October 2011

It was one of the heavily hyped products from Google which is intended to facilitate online collaboration. But the service found little adoption and it was essentially overcrowded with people, who don’t know what to do with it.  Google later announced that the complete waves will be deleted by April 2012.

#1 Google Buzz

Life Span: February 2010 – October 2011

Google killed the service in late 2011 to focus on their Google+, the next attempt at social networking.
