7. Church of Scientology

“Dangerous cult” was a campaign initiated against the Church of Scientology by the online hacktivist group Anonymous back in 2008. The group was able to link the Scientology website with many others so that any search for the phrase “dangerous cult” will list scientology on top.

8. Tony Blair, a Liar?

In 2005, the Google.co.uk search results for the word “liar” displayed then British Prime Minister Blair’s official biography on top. The bomb was provoked by the biography which has detailed information in Blair’s involvement in Iraq war. French president Nicolas Sarkozy was also a victim of Google bomb when the search for a sexually explicit word displayed Sarkozy’s Facebook page on top, which Google removed later.
