GlobalWebIndex, a digital customer study group has recently conducted a survey on most used Smartphone apps in the world and surprisingly, it was not Facebook that has been the most used app in the world, but it’s another one from Google.

Here are the 10 most used apps by 969.49 million worldwide Smartphone population.

#10 Instagram

Total users- 11 Percent

This popular photo app is used by almost 11 percent of world’s Smartphone population. Instagram enables users to take pictures, videos and share them on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites. The app provides an option to apply filters that makes the pictures look similar to Polaroid images. The images can be resized into square shape and also the short videos can be uploaded through Instagram account connecting to other social networking sites.
