UP-based streaming startup plans to release a five-episode series, titled 'Battle for Ayodhya', chronicling the Ram temple story from its origins 500 years ago to the recent 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony. Director Kushal Srivastava aims to provide well-researched, authentic content for Gen-Z, eliminating the need to sift through scattered information.
Kushal explained that Vedshaala, the organization behind the initiative, was created to support the younger generation facing distinctive challenges. Initiated by Sarit Agarwal, an IIT alumnus, teacher, and motivational speaker from Lucknow, the series features interviews with individuals involved in the Ayodhya temple movement over the past four decades, providing an authentic account of the events.
"The most fulfilling aspect of our project is the narratives of resilience and harmonious coexistence. I came to understand that Lord Ram is a figure for everyone, transcending caste, religion, and community boundaries, as his presence in people's lives is universal. The dispute was confined to the legal realm and did not impact the unity among people. It underscores that Ram serves as a unifying force," Kushal remarked. Additionally, Kushal has worked on the film 'Vodka Diaries', featuring KK Menon.
