The business-related social networking site, LinkedIn was founded in December 2002 and launched in May 2003 by Reid Hoffman, Allen Blue, Konstantin Guericke, Eric Ly and Jean-Luc Vaillant. The company filed for an IPO in January 2011 and traded its first shares on May same year.
The deal size for the IPO was $353 million and a market valuation of $4.3 billion. 7.8 million shares were offered at a price of $45 per share.
