Now Zepto will deliver Decathlon's sports goods in 10 minutes
Decathlon India, the French sporting giant's local unit, has partnered with Zepto, a quick-commerce unicorn known for delivering groceries in 10 minutes.
Decathlon's newest partnership aims to capitalize on the market presence of the Aadit Palicha-led startup to enhance the accessibility of sporting goods nationwide.
Through the partnership, customers in 16 major cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, and Hyderabad, can now access and purchase a broad selection of Decathlon’s sports equipment via Zepto’s online platform.
The partnership seeks to address the rising demand for sports and fitness products by offering faster delivery options for customers looking to improve their active lifestyles.
Decathlon India CEO Sankar Chatterjee said,We are thrilled to partner with Zepto to provide wider access to a diverse selection of sports products for our fellow Indians. As the demand for an active lifestyle in the country increases, we are dedicated to supporting this movement.
Decathlon will provide a variety of sporting goods on Zepto, covering categories such as fitness, outdoor activities, water sports, team sports and more.
The company mentioned that,from high-quality sports equipment and high-performance running shoes to versatile yoga mats, Decathlon's range of sports products available on Zepto guarantees customers quick and convenient access to the gear they need for their active lifestyles.

Alongside its partnership with Zepto, Decathlon has announced plans to invest
933 crore in India over the next five years.
The French company intends to expand its store network from 127 to 190 locations and enhance its digital engagement.
Currently, 68% of Decathlon’s products sold in India are locally manufactured, with a target to increase this figure to 85% by 2026.
