The Jindal Group has forayed into India’s urban mobility space with the launch of Trevel, a chauffeur-driven electric cab service focused on city and airport travel. The service, led by Sahil Jindal, Managing Director of the group, aims to compete with established players like Ola, Uber, and Rapido while targeting the premium electric cab segment.

Trevel has begun operations with a fleet of MG Windsor electric vehicles, offering pre-booked city rides and airport transfers at fixed prices. Bookings are currently available through the company website, with Android and iOS apps expected soon. The pilot phase included over 50 rides, allowing the company to fine-tune operations and service quality before scaling.

The platform follows a fleet-led approach, with vehicles owned or operated via partners aligned with its operating framework. Trevel’s entry comes after BluSmart, a premium all-electric ride-hailing service, suspended operations, leaving a gap in the market. The company spent six months aligning its fleet, technology, and operations to ensure smooth service delivery.

Unlike app-based aggregators, Trevel prioritizes scheduled bookings, controlled fleet rollout, and predictable service quality. With the support of Jindal Group’s EV business, including MG’s subscription models, the initiative leverages group synergies to provide reliable, sustainable mobility while exploring opportunities in airport transfers and premium urban rides. Expansion plans, additional vehicle categories, and app launch timelines will be shared in the coming months.
