Launched in 2010 as a coupon site by childhood friends Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, Snap Deal shifted its business model to become a competitor to Amazon and Flipkart. Its affiliate program to include retail sellers across the country turned out to be a successful model which helped earn considerable revenue for individual retailers who were otherwise challenged by an increasing online shopping trend.
