Ajay Jain, Chairman of IIMCIP, emphasized that this initiative goes beyond funding:
“The program will also provide mentorship, market access, and partnerships with corporates and governments, creating a full-stack ecosystem to help startups scale faster and drive meaningful climate impact.”
He added that cleantech and sustainability represent the next big wave of innovation in India:
“Through this fund, we aim to back entrepreneurs who can deliver both economic growth and climate outcomes. Our vision of success is not just about creating unicorns, but transforming communities and lives on the path to Viksit Bharat @2047.”
Alongside the fund, IIMCIP unveiled Mission 2047 - A Social Unicorn, with the ambitious goal of impacting 1 billion lives by 2047. The roadmap includes fostering entrepreneurship in underserved regions like the East and Northeast, empowering women-led ventures already producing over 60 “Crorepati Didis” and scaling digital-first incubation programs to reach entrepreneurs outside metro hubs.
Dr. Subhrangshu Sanyal, CEO of IIMCIP, highlighted the incubator’s impact over the past decade:
Funded 130+ startups,

Positively impacted 9.5 million lives.
“For us, impact has always been the true measure of success. Our journey proves that India’s startup nation is not confined to metros it thrives equally in Guwahati, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, and every small town where entrepreneurial dreams take root,” Jain concluded.
