The investor provided $5000 for a partial ownership of Sunbelt and within two months since then he bought his second horse and later on it was a shopping spree as he bought many horses on credit card.

Finley later quit his job and founded West Point Thoroughbreds (WPT), a New York based race horse syndication Management Company. He later spoke to various specialists and experts in the same field of business, on ideas to grow and develop in the business. "We started trying to build a brand and a reputation," says Finley.

Today, this horse racing company has 55 syndicated horses and about 550 investors who are benefited with profit, when their horses are bred, race and sold. WPT also has a website and its revenue has grown from $2 million in 2005 to $6.5 million per annum in the last three years.
