CoinSwitch, one of India’s largest crypto trading platforms, has released Virtual Digital Assets Decoded, the country’s first detailed handbook created specifically for police, cybercrime investigators, and policymakers. The guide aims to help authorities better understand and handle cases involving digital assets as crypto adoption continues to rise across India.

The handbook explains VDA fundamentals in simple terms and provides practical investigation tips, real case studies, and best practices for handling crypto-related offences. CoinSwitch will distribute the guide across major police stations and cybercrime units to ensure frontline officers have quick access to reliable information.

Ashish Singhal, Co-Founder and CEO of CoinSwitch, said India’s rapid crypto adoption brings a growing responsibility to support regulators and protect consumers. He noted that the handbook reflects the company’s commitment to building a safer and more informed digital asset ecosystem.

Sukant Dukhande, Senior Director - Legal at CoinSwitch, added that crypto’s complexity often challenges investigators. The handbook is designed to help officials make informed decisions by improving understanding, coordination, and response to crypto-linked cases.

The initiative aligns with CoinSwitch’s broader efforts to strengthen regulatory engagement. Over the years, the company has conducted more than 35 training programs on blockchain tracing and fraud investigation and continues to work with advisory partners to support balanced regulation. CoinSwitch plans to expand these efforts to build long-term knowledge networks for law enforcement.

Agencies can send official collaboration requests through nodaldesk@coinswitch.co. The new handbook adds an important resource to help authorities navigate India’s fast-growing digital asset landscape.
