The website also has a ‘Search Cabs’ tab that helps the users to look for cabs for a required date and time, and it also helps them find closest cars in the vicinity.

The users, to unlock the car at pickup points, have to use the Zoom app or SMS to an unique number and same process can be used to lock the car. This unique number is connected to the driver’s phone number, which will ensure that only the users have access to lock or unlock the car. Zoom has an android app and is likely to launch its iOS app by next week. Their SMS service has been deployed in part and is likely to be fully operational from the next week.

When it comes to security, if someone manages to unlock the car and enter it, Zoom’s back end system will have the control to stop ignition.

Zoom installs a security system inside each cab to monitor it through GPS in real time. The system in the back end can monitor speed, fuel, lights in the car, distance, current location, among others. If the cab is stopped still with its engine on, then Zoom will send an SMS to the driver to turn it off.
