  • Prepares $2-3 million funding to expand fleet to 10,000 and reach 1 million users by 2030.
Electric vehicle rental startup Bijliride has invested Rs 2.1 crore over the past six months to grow its fleet and strengthen its technology and team. The company now operates over 4,000 electric vehicles across major Indian cities such as Hyderabad and Bengaluru. This funding has helped Bijliride boost its market presence and prepare for further expansion.
The capital was raised from High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) investors in January 2025, valuing the company at Rs 21 crore post money. With these funds, Bijliride aims to triple its fleet size and revenue during the current financial year. The startup is expanding in Tier-1 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, while also enhancing enterprise services for logistics, e-commerce, and last mile delivery.
Since launching in 2020, Bijliride has seen steady growth of 25% month on month. The company offers flexible EV rental plans, 24/7 battery swapping, on-road support, and fleet leasing solutions through its SaaS based platform focused on tackling urban mobility challenges. Its services cater to both individual customers and businesses looking for sustainable transportation.
Bijliride is gearing up for a follow on funding round worth $2-3 million (Rs 16-24 crore) to scale its fleet to over 10,000 vehicles and expand into more than 10 cities across India. The startup aims to reach one million users by 2030 using a franchise driven expansion model.
Shivam Sisodiya, Co-Founder and CEO of Bijliride, said, “The recent investment has played a vital role in accelerating our growth. We have strengthened our fleet, improved technology, and grown our team to better serve customers. Our goal is to build a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable urban mobility system for India”.
Founded in 2020, Bijliride focuses on making electric two wheeler rentals accessible to reduce pollution and cut commuting costs through innovative tech solutions.
