Agritech Startup Arya.ag's Operating Revenue climbs 18% to Rs. 340 crore
In 2024, Arya.ag became the first agritech company to raise money in two rounds. This milestone was fueled by a notable expansion in scale while preserving profitability, which has not happened much in the industry lately.
According to its consolidated financial statement obtained from the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Arya.ag's operating revenue increased by 18% to Rs 340 crore in FY24 from Rs 288 crore in FY23.
Arya.ag, a grain commerce website located in Noida, links buyers and sellers of agriproduce. It serves farmers, FPOs, financial institutions, SME processors, merchants, and corporate agribusinesses by facilitating farmgate storage, financing, and year-round supply. Aryadhan, its subsidiary, provides funding for warehouse receipts.
The largest contributor, accounting for Rs 212.8 crore or 62.64% of total operating revenue, was storage and warehousing income, which increased by 7.5%. Loan interest revenue increased dramatically by 27.2% to Rs 55.4 crore, with another Rs 71.5 crore coming from other sources.
Lightrock Venture and Aspada Investment Company are the primary investors in Arya.ag, which has raised a total of $144 million in funding to date, according to TheKredible. The United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) has committed $19.8 million to guarantee a lending facility for the company's agri-commerce subsidiary, Aryatech.
