Agritech Platform 'DeHaat' acquires 'AgriCentral' from Olam Agri
Agritech platform DeHaat has completed the acquisition of AgriCentral from Olam Agri in an all-cash transaction. This move strengthens DeHaat’s ability to deliver comprehensive agricultural services across rural India.
Integrating AgriCentral’s capabilities will enable DeHaat to provide precision advisory, farm mechanization, insurance, and cattle management solutions, enhancing the livelihoods of farmers nationwide.
AgriCentral, a digital platform serving over 10 million users, offers a range of services, including crop price insights, planning tools, diagnostics, and community engagement.
Launched in 2018, it leverages cutting-edge technologies like satellite imagery, machine learning, and big data analytics to support farmers with actionable insights.
DeHaat, founded in 2012, operates across more than 12 states with a vast network of over 15,000 DeHaat Centres and partnerships with 1,000+ agribusiness entities. The company provides end-to-end agricultural solutions, including expert advisory, quality inputs, and market access. Its strategic acquisitions have previously included FarmGuide, Vezamart, Helicrofter, YCook, and the fruit export division of Freshtrop Fruits.
The acquisition of AgriCentral marks another milestone in DeHaat’s journey to becoming India’s largest full-stack agritech platform.
Financially, DeHaat reported significant growth, with gross revenue reaching
2,674.8 crore for the fiscal year ending March 2024, up from
1,965 crore in FY23. The company also improved its profitability, reducing losses by 34% to
