Leading agritech company AgroStar has released its comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impact report for 2024, titled 'Sowing Seeds of Sustainability'. The report highlights AgroStar's significant positive impact on the Indian agricultural ecosystem, showcasing notable achievements in yield improvement, cost reduction, water conservation, carbon restoration, and workforce diversity.
The ESG report reveals that Indian farmers have increased their crop yields by an average of 27% with the assistance of AgroStar’s products and advisory services. Additionally, farmers have managed to reduce their input costs by 17%, showcasing the economic benefits of adopting AgroStar’s innovative solutions. One of the standout achievements in the report is AgroStar’s contribution to water conservation, with their agri-input products helping reduce water usage by a staggering 423 billion liters.
AgroStar has also played a crucial role in environmental sustainability by restoring 580 metric tonnes of carbon matter into Indian soils. Furthermore, the company has made strides in reducing food wastage, achieving less than 1% wastage in its supply chain. AgroStar has actively promoted workforce diversity and created employment opportunities for women in the rural agriculture sector, with over 75% of employees in their fruit and vegetable packhouses being women.

This approach has resolved over 10 million farmer queries and garnered over 325 million video views, ensuring farmers have access to expert guidance anytime and anywhere. Access to high-quality agricultural inputs remains a significant challenge for farmers, who often face a market flooded with low-quality non-branded products.
