Ravi Gururaj Launches 'Frictionless Ventures' For Startups
Bangalore: Ravi Gururaj, the former Vice President of cloud platforms at Citrix Systems is all set to launch an incubation centre which will admit cloud computing ventures. This incubator will be called Frictionless ventures as it looks to adhere to the meaning of the name by letting startups freely innovate and ideate. The incubator also looks to fund disruptive ideas in the areas of technology and cloud computing in the coming days, reports ET.
Frictionless Venture would be investing in startups anywhere around $50,000-$250,000 for their ideas in the cloud computing, mobility and big data sectors. Founded by Ravi Gururaj, who is also an entrepreneur with his venture VMLogix, which was later acquired by Citrix, the venture looks to invest in competitive startups which can convert an idea into a viable business opportunity.
Interestingly, the incubator has already shortlisted a mobile contacts management app – SyncUsUp. The startup was recently shortlisted as the finalist at the Harvard Business School’s New Venture Contest that was held in Boston. On the other hand there was an announcement by NASSCOM on appointing Ravi Gururaj as the as the chairman of its product council.
