MyGrahak Online Grocer Plans To Gross 200 Crore As Funding

Bangalore: MyGrahak.com an online grocery store with over 22,000 registered users have planned to raise funding worth 200 Crore. MyGrahak.com targets middle class and upper middle class customers for their business with an extensive wholesome online grocery market.

MyGrahak.com plans their business like Flipkart or other such e-commerce portals by delivering groceries to the door step of customers. Though it operates only in Delhi NCR right now, this online store plans to function in other metro states with a healthy funding. The company is seeking to raise 200 Crore until 2015 and the revenue predicted around this period is 1000 crores.

Ambuj Jhunjhunwala, CEO says – “We would be considering private equity investors for our next level of capital infusion. MyGrahak is gearing up for the next level of growth. Our monthly revenues have crossed 1.25 Crore last month and we will break even by December 2012. We believe the stage is now set for more capital infusion. We plan to use the capital to double our warehouse, to improve logistics and supply chain, for a new office premise in Ghitorni and to enhance our customer experience”

Though there are various e-commerce grocery stores in India like – ShopVeg, Aaramshop, BigBasket etc, for now this industry seems weak as stated by watblog.com. Online grocers are generally local in genre as they do not fetch the needs of customers beyond a territory. MyGrahak.com also raises this funding to operate in various other metro states and to operate beyond Delhi NCR region.
