Meet Hollywood's 3-D Entrepreneur, James Cameron


Bangalore: James Cameron has emerged as one of Hollywood’s hottest director and entrepreneur. ‘Avatar’ his latest film is the highest-grossing film ever with a worldwide box office turnover of $ 2.7 billion. This has helped him dominate the 3D world and as an entrepreneur he is picking up the right business in the film industry.

Cameron is also the director, writer, co-producers, and co-editor of the epic romantic disaster film ‘Titanic’, which had its 3D version reeased in 2012. Though George Lucas set the standard for 3D works and special animation with ‘Star Wars’, Cameron,  57, year old is setting a new standard with this special technology and with the cameras that he created, making millions of dollars in the process of renting them to other film and TV directors. He is also putting his entrepreneurial skills into practice; he would be designing a theme park for Walt Disney’s animal kingdom. Cameron also plans to license eight patents on few products. His vision would be to stream revenue through 3D television sets and such other electronic gadgets and products.
