An ex alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Pooja worked as an engineer at Facebook as well. iazza has raised $6 Million Series A funding from Bessemer Venture Partners with Kapor Capital and Felicis Ventures also participating. Piazza is also backed by Sequoia Capital and SV Angel. Congratulations to Pooja and the Piazza team, as Forbes reports about the funding of the startup initiated by Pooja Shankar. Being a shy girl, with roots in a small Indian town, Pooja started her life as any simple Indian girl. “As a teenager, I never went outside alone, spoke to a boy other than my brother, or wore jeans or a short skirt” tells Pooja about her teenage.
