Almost into the final stage of her pregnancy, Maria Seidman is still standing strong with her startup app and recently raised multi million funding for the company. Already mother of a four year old, Maria draws a lot of mental support from her family and entrepreneur husband. Her startup Yapp, founded in 2011, has developed a simple yet brilliant app creation tool for non technical users.

Seidman said she never felt any hesitation from her co-founder or investors, but that she believes it may be an issue for some female founders, and that it’s important to have a conversation around the issue as women begin to found more and more companies, reports Techcrunch. “I haven’t felt discriminated against, but I have no idea what people really think. I try to be nonjudgmental of everyone else’s life and child-rearing choices. Were there days that I was so nauseous and exhausted that I wanted to lie under the desk? Yeah. But I’m committed to the product,” said Seidman, in her interview with AllthingsD.
