The visit was marked by a spirit of reflection and pride, as players and support staff interacted with diplomats and officials, acknowledging the overwhelming support from the Indian diaspora and fans across the UK throughout the tour.
Head Coach Gautam Gambhir addressed the gathering, highlighting the historical intensity of India-England contests. “Touring this part of the world has always been exciting and challenging because of the history between the two countries, which can never be forgotten”, said Gambhir. “We have cherished every bit of support we have received every time we have toured the UK”.
